Humanitarian Aid in Action: Supporting Afghan Women During Baghlan Flood

Afghan Women Network International (AWNI) Launches Emergency Flood Fundraising Campaign

On May 10^th 2024, devastating flash floods swept through Baghlan province in Afghanistan, claiming over 300 lives and displacing countless families. In response, Mary Akrami, on behalf of AWNI   launched a GoFundMe campaign to support those affected, particularly in Baghlan province.

So far, the campaign has raised $1,978 and with A-AWA contribution and donation and AWN cooperation has been distributed to 24 families from Baghlan and Nangarhar provinces who were severely impacted by the floods. These families, now displaced and struggling, have received essential aid to help rebuild their lives during this crisis.
